Brandenburg Theatre

Lighting concept for the Brandenburg Theatre

for the refurbishment of the ambient lighting in 5 parts of the building

Renewal of interior lighting based on our lighting design.

As a measure to reduce energy consumption by at least 55% compared to the old lighting.

Background:

The conventional lighting system in the Brandenburg Theatre no longer meets the requirements and standards.

Particularly against the background of inflation rates, the replacement of the lights represents a significant cost reduction for the BT, so that the theatre’s future operations can be guaranteed with as little financial intervention in the programme budget as possible.

The measure of converting the theatre’s ambient lighting, i.e. the non-stage lighting systems, to LED operation is intended to make a significant contribution to the permanent saving of electrical energy during ongoing operations.

The requirements for sufficient and functional illumination of the various areas resulting from technical building, safety and health and safety-related reasons must be taken into account.

This is realised by a well-considered combination of replacing the light sources with LED products and replacing the luminaires, depending on the importance and requirements of the individual area.
